The 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐅𝐒) was created to help address this continental gap.

As an Africa-led, multi-stakeholder platform, 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐅𝐒 brings together partners across science, research, decision making, and practice to strenghen dialogue and collaboration on phosphorus stewardship. Its objective is not only to consolidate the evidence base, but also to support the interpretation, exchange, and application of that knowledge in ways that inform soil health and fertilizer initiatives.

As one of the platform’s founding members, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa – FARA brings a critical continental perspective on agricultural research and policy to this collective effort.
